Covered markets of the end of the 17th century
Mentioned to the 14th century. The Lordship of the Beaumonts, then of the Chabanneses, is assigned at German Heart, granddaughter of Jacques Coeur, transmitted by alliance in the Harlays (1493) and to the Montmorencies-Luxemburg (1711). Erected in county in 1599, in duchy-peerage in 1769.


The covered markets serving to shelter the market and various demonstrations date of the end of the 17th century. The roofing is supported by 30 pillars, the framework is in chestnut whose particularity is to possess particular properties as: it is hard a wood, immunized against the spiders completely *, bugs and mushrooms.

* For the arachnophobes (uncontrolled fear of the spiders), he is counseled briskly to construct all his/her/its house in chestnut; -))
