Photographer’s Note
This is Etretat in Normandy, with all the famous rock formations.
I have no idea what this girl was looking at, maybe she is pointing to the next photo on TE...
While googling for something clever to write here about Etretat, I found a painting by Henry Bacon, made in 1890, from about the same POV. I have posted a copy as a WS!
Many great artists have been here, among them also Gustave Courbet and Claude Monet.

Hello Gunnar,
I like the composition here, which makes good use of the curving shoreline. The girl pointing in the foreground is a nice addition, adding to the mood and creating a sensation of depth. The colourful sand yacht adds a nice splash of colour to the predominant greys and browns. Very good sharpness. Have never been to Etretat - really must make an effort to get up there.

Bonjour, cher Gunnar,
L'on comprend pourquoi Etretat a inspiré de nombreux peintres et d'écrivains.
La beauté des lieux est spectaculaire. Une image bien construite donnant un bel espace aux falaises, aux galets et à la mer !
Amitiés.

Hej Gunnar,
it was really a clever idea to put the painting in WS. Your composition is very pleasant, the girl in FG adds a nice vivid touch to the otherwise calm scenery. Very nice light too. TFS!

Bonjour Gunnar,
Amicalement.
Daniel.

Hej Gunnar,
I think this is the best composition so far from you recent journey. The girl pointing at something (the previous photo on TE, I suppose...) makes an excellent foreground. The sitting woman is a fine addition to the perspective, and so are the red and yellow sails further away, as well as the church on the hilltop. The ws is a really nice bonus.

Hej Gunnar
The church on the bg headland, makes a fine focal point, in addition to the hole in the rock to the left, & the fg girl, pointing. Good sharpness & framing. Tfs!
