Photographer’s Note
old shot, surprised i didn't upload yet, was in my "future posts folder" in sepia (see WS) but colours were interesting, and i tried a new PP today,
i've spent a bit more time on this photo than i use to do with most of other posts exept panos and some TL posts:
autocontrast, highlight -30%, brightness and contrast +60%, and a quite complicate play with selective colours tool
before this PP
about the place, you can see Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur church (14th) in Dival, village from now on attached to Villenauxe-la-Grande (Villenauxe-the-large), actualy it is unused... (or used for expositions or concerts)
behind, the Champagne vineyard, very close to department of the Marne, moreover, one is not far either from Provins in Paris region (Ile de France), which preserved its superb medieval city...

Jonathan,
such a typical scene out of the french backcountry. he POV giving that overview is a very good one and it could be interesting to return to the same place later in Summer, Autumn and Winter to get the different moods of the season.

Hi Jonathan,
A great view of this village in such a lovely, pleasant sunlight. It works well that you didn't include any sky. The composition is also really good with the church well placed in the upper left hand corner. Thanks for sharing!

Hello Jo,
A winter picture with a lovely panorama view about the village.
Good of quality and sharpness, also excellent of colours and composition.
Generally a good photograph work here, I looked to your both WS pictures, but this image here find I the best.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Bonjour Jonathan,

Hi Jo
I like the cubistic effect created mainly by the great manipulation of light and shadows that nice exploits the beautiful traditional buildings
Great post, indeed

Hi Jonathan
A lovely composition of the little village waking up from winter. It would be interesting to see this view in summer as well. Very well done.

I think you made the right choice to post this version of the scene. The added contrast and boosting of selected colours has added a lot more inpact than on the original. I don't think the sepia version works at all because there is not enough variation of tones in quite a "busy" image. Your high POV works very well. It would be interesting to see the same scene at different times of year.

Salut Jo,

Bonjour Jo
The shadows do come out better thanks to the PP...much better 3D feel to the picture. The high POV makes this attractive & the steeple of the church catches the eye. Well done!

Bonjour Jonathan
Amicalement.
