Photographer’s Note

Still a sight of the Champagne vineyard around Verzenay the evening with the heat which gives this so particular fog. At the hour when I sendings this picture, the vintagers are gathering the grape which will give us appears an excellent year.

Très belle photo, c'est très géométrique. La lumière est idéale. Tout cela doit représenter une petite fortune pour nos amis viticulteurs !

Hi Jean Marie!
you have really a big passion for vineyards! And this is in fact a green sea!
Unfortunately i never drink alcool, so i can't appreciate the results! But the shot is a nive composition of geometry nearly in only one color.

Nice simple image of this landscape Jean Marie, I like the way the almost monochrome colours fade away into the light mist and the patterns of the vineyards zig zag across the land.

Quand la nature et l'homme se font paysagiste (sans toujours le vouloir), quelle beauté !
J'aime cette étendue de cépage jusqu'à l'horizon qui vient exhaler les dernières chaleurs de septembre.

J'aime la pente douce et l'horizon vaporeux qui donne justement cette belle profondeur et évoque comme une respiration de la vigne...
Cadrage toujours très propre et lumière idéale.
Le chemin à gauche perturbe peut-être un peu l'armonie des lignes.
De la bel ouvrage.

It is very rare for a photo to convey a sense of infinity and at the same time show ultimate detail. All needed to turn this into one of the greates vine shots ever is a bunch of grapes clearly visible in the forground (I suppose you could clone it in, but that would be cheating of course). Congratulations.

Very nice view over the vineyards. The way the close vivid vines go fading away in the distance create a nice composition. Also like the fact that we don’t see the horizon bringing a sense of infinity to the landscape.

Ces quelques photos de vignes sont très bien réussies. C'est étonnant le graphisme qu'elle peuvent créer, ou quand la patte de l'homme modèle le paysage pour donenr de l'art abstrait.
Belle composition.

Hello Jean-Marie,
The patterns are most eye-catching!
A wonderful composition with strong foreground interest, the shades of green very appealing to my eye...
The backlight works nicely for the fields but not so well for the sky, but all together this is a fine image!
