Photographer’s Note

The village of Verzenay, in the mountain of Rheims, framed on the left by the lighthouse and on the right the mill.

A Lighthouse in champagne? Although it dominates a sea of vines, one can wonder what it does there. It is the son of the founder of the stores Goulet-Turpin who had the idea into 1909 to set up this monument with a purely advertising aim. The mill, as for him, was built in 1820 and is currently the property of the Mumm Champagne. This part of the mountain of Rheims is one of those where the grape is the best to make champagne, we are in great vintage.

C'est d'abord un superbe sujet et une très belle composition. De plus le cliché en grand format est particulièrement net. Les couleurs et la lumière sont superbes. Très bien vu !

Très beau panorama, bien servi par cette lumière chaude et rasante que tu as réussi a bien saisir. Le montage est bien métrisé.

Très beau panorama version dans les LV. Les couleurs et la lumière sont superbes, belle réalisation technique sans fautes. La vigne et le ciel font une bonne composition.

Je viens de voir ta galerie et je ne peux m'empêcher d'avoir un petit faible pour cette photo puisque je suis Rémois de souche et je connais très bien la Montagne de Reims ayant habité toute mon enfance à Ville en Selve !!

C'est sur qu'ici c'est moins pentu qu'au Tunupa ! Néanmoins tu as réussi un joli pano bien assemblé. Tu utilises quel soft?

Salut Jean Marie,
I love the composition and the point of view of this shot, giving the impression of being completely into the wineyards.
The sky is without overexposed areas and this is not so easy to have in panoramic shots.
If I can I suggest you the use of a ND 0.3 or 0.6 grad for this shot, to have more light on the greens and a well exposed sky (as in this shot, but with more details on the wineyards).
