Photographer’s Note
and not the Velvet Underground ^^
yes, the fields you see in background are made with green velvet ^^
I thought a little bit os desaturation could be better than the brighter original version
winter is green in Champagne... some canadian TL friends wrote to me that it's still surprising to see so much green while in Canada, about the same latitude, it's pure white...
oh, one week or two a year we also have some snow here, but it's nothing in comparison.

Bonjour,

Bon week end JY

Excellent mix of lines and disorder, other than this light and the colors of this image I much like your idea, very good contrast in one well composed image.
Compliments.

Bonjour Jean-Christophe,
You have chosen an unusual vantage point for the photograph, the lines of the tilled field make a beautifully regular pattern, and provide an effective backdrop to the bare trees in the foreground. Interesting note, that Champagne is at the same latitude as parts of Canada (normally I think of Canada being so much more northerly).
Warm regards and have a good weekend,
Bulent

Hello JC,
A fine abstract image based on nature. The foreground branches add depth and make an interesting contrast with the dead straight lines of the furrows. The curving hillside brings in another dimension. The slight desaturation suits the mood perfectly.

Bonjour JC,

Bravo et excellent WE

I just love these pics of yours with the ondulatings fields. This one has an interesting presentation with the desaturation, the change of mood is quite appealing, together with the trees filling the FG. More mysterious, I guess...funny play with the title.

Hello JC,
The intricate branches of the trees in the foreground with rows and rows of lines formed by green fields in the background is a creative, pleasing composition. I like it very much!

Bonjour Jonathan.
Excellent !

I see here an carpet in background, the farmers and nature care for the most beautiful place in the world.
Nice captured and good composed, TFS.

JC,
the colored version works perfect for me. That velvet or silk appearance in the background would have gone lost in the B&W. I wonder about your POV and lens. I visualize you on the top of a hill and using a huge focal length to get this compression. Right?

Ciao JC,

Amicalement,
Josep
