Photographer’s Note
in my street, like most of the houses in the center of the town, houses are made with wood and cob, not good when a fire happen!
some examples of local architecture:
the yellow house
my neighbors
gas explosion occurred.
at this moment, a house on the right is totally burnt, and this one is beginning to burn.
dramatic to see the people arriving and crying while a part of their life disappear in front of them.
fortunately nobody died.
in the background, the single tower of the cathedral was disappearing behind the smoke turning to dark few moment after.
i was going outside to make some photos while the sun was at least coming back... i finally didn't walk more than 50 meters.

Salut JC,
Une bonne photo de reportage avec le soleil qui disparait sous l'épaisse fumée, bien cadrée.

JC
It is a good documentary type shot, depict the event and recording a misfortunate of the fire. Good technical quality, not something that is pleasing to the eyes but journalistic shot.

A nice piece of photo journalism with artistic merits. It's a dramatic scene, and that line with the water hose is great in the frame.
Cheers,
