Photographer’s Note

not the first shot from this village called Montgenost, a village near where i live... i like this place, a quite high POV in the plains with fields till the horizon

i don't know which one i prefer between this photo and the one in WS with more zoom...
so it's a double post of the same scenery
maybe you can explain if one is better than the other and why, or maybe not, like me...

This is a great example of how to use a road or path to show a landscape. The road meanders and twists across the landscape, guiding our vision and leading us right into the frame, making the photo more interesting. Nicely done!

Good composition! The winding field road drives the eyes to the small village. I like the realistic colours!

I like this one as the path is prominent in the FG and it leads our eyes right through the image.

First you think that there is a lack of point of attraction, like a red figure for instance, then you get captivated by the vastness of the landscape and the curves in the fields. The depth of fields :))

you dont need much of a hill to make wonderful landscape that seems to go on for ever. I really like the mix of the green and ochre in the fields.

Une ballade qui doit être bien agréable sur ce petit chemin. Belle profondeur de "champs", c'est le moins que l'on puisse dire. J'aime beaucoup les couleurs naturelles de l'image et ce ciel pastel. C'est très agréable, merci Jonathan.

Hi Jonathan,
Beautiful clarity and colors of this vast agricultural landscape.
I prefer the WS shot. I find this shot especially the path on the left is not so nice to look at. If you could move a bit more to the right...just where the straight line of the green grasses and the path...I think it would much better. But I like the sky more of this shot than the WS one.
Well.... well done on both shots.

Prehaps in between as it would have been nice to get the fore ground bend in the track so it had a sort of sweeping effect. Good and strong colours for the landscape.
Always wondered why these tracks always meandered, must find an explanation for it. Obviously not Roman though!
