Photographer’s Note
Just behind the church in Mondement-Montgivroux lies this typically French view which I couldn't help but photograph.
Mondement-Montgivroux is the site of the monument of the Battle of the Marne from World War I, but the monument isn't worth taking a photo of.

Did you take this shot or was it Monet? A good version of a classic scene. The perspective is excellent showing the individual poppies in the foreground, retreating to a speckled red and green carpet in the distance. I like the details in the house but maybe it's positioned just a little too centrally in the frame.
