Photographer’s Note
These are the hedgerows caused by centuries of traffic splashing the earth up along either side of the path. This particular land feature is part of what made the Allied offense so diffucult during WWII.

Looks like a frame of a picture, like "Tess" by Roman Polansky. Good one, I like the panoramic frame.

Very good, Ellen.
I like the composition and your subject as well as the light and mist in it.
Pity it lacks some sharpness; also it could've been a bit bigger both in format (up to 800 pixels) and size (up to 200KB).
Still, I like it as it is, as it shows beauty of this bit of the countryside.

Bonjour Ellen. This ia a very lovely and moody composition. The panorama like framing suits perfectly.
* Note: Thanks a lot for the correction.

hi ellen,
I liked the shot, the mist suits there and make an atmosphere .May be it should be a little bit sharper, but panoroma choice is a good one also.

A beautiful photograph, composed very nicely to show the tunnel effect of the hedgerows. Nice job keeping the detail available in the darker parts of the picture. I understand there aren't many hedgerows left from the WWII era (and older, of course) and it's easy to see here why the fighting was so difficult during the battle of Normandy.
