Being at Le Mont-St-Michel in the morning meant that the sun was at my back when looking out to sea from high up in the structure. It was low tide so much of the sea bed was exposed with lots of interesting patterns of water and sand. There was a small, shadow of the spire of Mont-St-Michel and a few shrubs intruding into the photo - very peaceful.

Hello Ian ,
Your first post from St Michel was a classical one . May be this one is a little less usual , but it is superbly realized . Splendid shapes and colors of the sandy parts . And the sahde of the church perfectly placed .
Very well done

Interesting. Nice patterns created by the low tide.
I'll maybe visit this place next summer.

Beautiful image of the low tide taken from the Mont-St-Michel, beautiful colors and beautiful composition with those ribbons of blue moving slow and soft in the sand. It seems almost a part of contemporary art. Bravo! With sympathy Letizia

What an intriguing and fascinating view! All these natural patterns and colours are really impressive and most intersting. A photo to marvel ....

Another wonderful capture from this location. The tidal sand flats look so pristine.
Your high vantage point affords a panoramic view of the area.
I like the convex shape the wide angle has given to the horizon.
You were blessed (sorry) with magnificent weather and ideal conditions for shooting.

Hi Ian, A very clear image with good colours. It is a place in France which i'd like to visit one day. The strong diagonal from this crop emphasises the geomorphological features. TFS. Murray.

The wide angle is giving the impression that we are viewing the Earth's curvature. The low tide has exposed interesting shapes. Well seen. Tfs, Marlene
