Second image of my series taken during the "laudes" (first mass of monks in the morning, 8 a.m ) in abbey of the Mont Saint Michel ( to see my first image for more precise details).

Beautiful light coming through the windows. Together with the monks it creates a great atmosphere.

Hi Patrice,

Just saw the previous one which i thought as to be very good, but now this one i consider even better. Maybe less divine light what shies in through the windows, but the vertical composition shows beautiful elements all the way up...a beautiful part of the image. I was never inside, but reading your other note you were very lucky in being there at this time of the day and capture this special moment. I'm not religious, but the whole atmosphere is very beautiful, very serene...very high quality shot...well done..!!!

excellent handling of the light in this difficult situation.
The sun rays comming in from the windows are very beautiful.

encore une belle image de cette cérémonie. Je crois que je préfère quand même la première même si ici, j'apprécie la verticalité que tu nous donnes à voir.

Un témoignage impressionant qui met bien ensemble les moines et le cadre fabuleux de l'architecture gothique dans une unité de couleurs. La lumière en contre-jour bien gérée contribue à la poésie de l'image.

Bonjour Patrice,

Vraiment impressionnante ta serie sur cette messe. Un superbe travail d exposition en subtilité qui retranscrit bien l ambiance du moment et un cadrage soigné pour nous montrer la nef et la congregation.
Je garde une preference pour la precedente ou l ambiance etait plus presente, mais celle ci reste tout aussi interessante.

Bonjour Patrice,

La réalisation est grandiose, à l'image des lieux. C'est non seulement techniquement éblouissant dans la gestion des lumières, couleurs et cadrage, mais c'est surtout la relation de l'ambiance sacrée qui saute aux yeux! C'est ici que les mots commencent à faire défaut...Bravo!

Un cadrage très approprié pour cette vue du coeur de cet abbaye. La verticalité nous entraîne vers la lumière et vers le ciel ! Une nouvelle image superbe et peine d'une très belle ambiance.

Vraiment bravo pour cette série très inspirée et superbe à la fois de simplicité et de vérité.
Ta position de retrait respectueux en tant qu'observateur, et non voyeur, est bien perceptible.
Combien le fait de montrer des gens de dos est souvent plus éloquent que de face car il nous laisse beaucoup plus libre d'interpréter et d'imaginer.
Merci de nous épargner le côté scoop malgré la rareté du moment montré.
Le traitement de la lumière est top mais mesuré sans effet exagéré et prend toute sa valeur dans un tel lieu où il nourrit le rendu de l'atmosphère de profond recueillement.
Un beau sujet dont tu as su faire de belles photos.

Hello Patrice,

The light in photograph 1 is very nice as well. And the monks are hiding the microphone tripods a bit, which are a bit too visible in one other shot - the downside of technological progress ;-).

The light balancing here is really stunning. Very nice.
