Photographer’s Note

Beuvron en Auge is a well known village on TE for it features beautiful half timbered houses in normand style, it is actually a very small village with a small number of traditional houses, among them this one got the visit of TE photographing hordes, here yet another detail showing the door and the elaborated letter box that attracted my attention.

C'est effectivement une superbe boite à lettres dont la couleur verte, sur fond de colombages, est du plus bel effet avec le jaune de la porte.

Da hast Du ein schönes Detail gesehen und trotz des strengen Lichts ein gutes Foto geschaffen.Schöne Struktur der Fassade mit Tür und Briefkasten.Was fehlt ist eine Hausnummer.....also kann ich keinen Brief schicken......

Tiens, tiens... Back in Normandy, c'est bien !
Mais dis donc ? Tu virerais pas au jaune toi, finalement ?
En tout cas, je ne sais pas si c'est dû à ton passage à Beuvron, mais quand j'y suis passée la dernière fois en novembre, toutes les fenêtres, cette porte et même les encadrements avaient été poncés. Véridique !
Si j'y retourne, et que tout est rouge, je crie à la corruption !!!

lovely architecture on this house. The stones on the bottom and the half timbered details are wonderful, as is the mail box. But tell me, where the owners blindfolded when they bought that ugly door? I would never put a light-colored, modern door on that place! But then, there is no accounting for taste...

Excellent cadrage et merveilleuse qualité d'image. Le graphisme de l'ensemble ne pouvait échapper à ton œil expert et cette belle boîte à lettres encore moins. La couleur de cette porte est la preuve, s'il le fallait, de ta grande tolérance -)

Un détail de cette façade qui accroche le regard grâce à ces colombages bien contrastés. J'aime beaucoup également le détail de cette boîte à lettre verte ouvragée. Si la porte avait été ancienne, l'image y aurait encore gagné.

Très beau plan serré sur cette vieille maison normande à colombage et soubassement en pierre de pays. La porte-fermière (récemment changée) est bien dans le style, mais ce qui attire le regard c'est cette boîte aux lettres particulièrement travaillée (ornementation).
Fine observation (comme à l'accoutumée).

J'aime beaucoup cette photo très lumineuse. Le cadrage serré fait ressortir le détail de cette façade avec les colombages antiques. On y revient au bois et au torchis pour bâtir des maisons écologiques et bien isolées, les anciens savaient ce qu'ils faisaient.

Salut Jean Yves! Was fuer ein romantischer Briefkasten ... meistens bekomme ich nur Rechnungen, dafuer viele E-Mails, aber mein Briefkasten ist auch laengst nicht so originell. Da gab man sich noch Muehe, als man solche Haeuser baute, und alles musste stimmen. Du hast ein schoenes Detail herausgefiltert und die knallgelbe Tuere ist nachtuerlich ein weiterer Eyecatcher. Hin und wieder kriege ich noch richtige Briefe. Ich selber schreibe lieber Mails. Alle sagen immmer dass man meine Schrift nicht lesbar sei :))) meine Freundin meinte aber, dass die Leute gar nicht mehr Schriften lesen koennen. Hat was Wahres, hei! Schoener Samstagabend ... Barbara.

J'aime le cadrage serré qui permet d'apprécier le travail de maçonnerie de cette maison et le contraste très fort de la chaux et ce jaune petard.
Une maison bien "proprette" en tout cas...trop pour etre honnete ! Effectivement, à y regarder de plus près, la porte et sa poignée font très cheap, et la boite aux lettres trop anglaise...encore une maison paysanne baffouée ! Enfin, on parle photo, pas patrimoine ;)
