Arromanches-les-Bains (or, simply Arromanches) is a commune in the Calvados department in the Basse-Normandie region in north-western France.
It is located on the coast in the heart of the area where the Normandy landings took place on D-Day, on 6 June 1944.

A well-planned shot, catching the lines of crosses just at the symmetry point and yet managing to include a touch of flowers on the right. The crosses seem to go on forever towards the right edge of the photo. Somber tones throughout seem appropriate as well. Is the sky natural, or was that touched up?
