Last Sunday I was cycling just across the border in rural France. And as I came across this small village cemetery, it occured to me how lovingly people are remembered after they are gone. Most of the graves had fresh flowers and the overall impression was colourful - and beautiful and serene. I didn't think to post any of the shots taken that day, but today I have been very aware that the third anniversary of September 11 has come and gone without many people (at least here in Europe) taking notice. As I believe in remembering, especially in order that it never happens again, I share this with you. And also in memory of all those who lost their lives that day.
