J’ai eu la chance hier d’assister à un match exhibition de Horseball, sorte de basketball pratiqué à cheval. Intense et acrobatique à souhait !!
En plissant un peu les yeux, je me retrouvais dans les pages du roman de Joseph Kessel, « Les Cavaliers », décrivant les prouesses de ces hommes des steppes de l’Asie Centrale, pratiquant le Bozkachi, l’ancêtre du Horseball, où l’honneur du village est porté en bandouillère et le fouet entre les dents

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to attend an exhibition game of Horseball, a sort of basketball game but performed on horses. Intense and acrobatic !!
When I screwed up my eyes a little, I had the feeling to read again the pages of the novel by Joseph Kessel, describing the achievements of these horse riders from the Central Asia steppes playing “Bozkachi”, the ancestor game of Horseball, where the village’s honor is carried as a flag and the whip between the teeth !!
