Photographer’s Note
A late afternoon Papagolfade in the small village "Saint Point Lac" situated in the french side of the Jura mountains near Pontarlier.
As in many villages of the region, the church tower has a typically shaped roof called "Clocher Comtois" from the name of the region "Franche-Comté". In the foreground the monument to the victims of wars brings the national colors very close to the church (in France government and church are separated).
For those not so much interested in church architecture the "Fruitière a Comté" is just a few steps away and it's open everyday ;-)

good morning Jean Yves:
nice composition. I really like the DEEP blue sky in the background (it seems like a paint) in contrast with the church. And u also post a interesting note.

Hmmm, its apparently sunday today, Hermann offers a picture of Kevelaer, and you present us a church.Time to reflect.
Lovely light amd a beautiful litlle tower.
There's something strange with the time, there's 7.45 hours at the clock, and your camera registrates the same time, but 18.45 hours, and you mention morning ;-)
I would go fro the architecture AND the "Fruitière a Comté" .........

A simple but efficient Papagolfade with this comprehensively framed photo of the roadside church, Jean-Yves. Nice colors and a good shooting angle to have the reading of the photo converge towards the church tower.

There are many elements of interest in this shot Jean Yves, with the graves, memorial, flag, fence and of course the church. Your note was interesting about the roof as I don't think I have seen anything similar elsewhere. I particularly like the strong light/shade contrast.

Bonjour Jean-Yves,

Hi Jean Yves,
What attracted my attention most in this shot is the glowing effect seen on the clouds which makes it interesting. The POV is great and you managed to maintain good colours despite the shadows. Well done!!! Have a nice weekend.

Hi Jean Yves,
A small church but very lovely, with a good note too. The few white clouds to the sky, with the rest very blue, excellent composition, I enjoyed to look at this photo.
Best regards,
John.

Great positioning, with the light just out of frame, but providing a nice angle on the building, giving some highlights and reflections. Beautiful colour also, with the red roof contrasting nicely with the very blue sky. Well done!

Hi Jean Yves,
A well composed shot of this village scene. I like the way the wrought iron fence takes the eye at an angle to parallel the street into the frame. The little cross and flag help balance and enhance. Well seen and captured.

Bonsoir Jean-Yves,

Hi Jean-Yves. You have a good lead-in with the fence line. It's a little bit of shame about the heavy shade from the morning. Because of the shade the colors are little bit subdued. Still a very nice one Jean-Yves.
