Photographer’s Note

I took the water tower to Dole in tribute to Bernd and Hilla Becher who beautifully photographed the same building in 1984. A superb exhibition consolidated their works at the Centre Pompidou in 2005: there are collections of all black and white water towers, chevalements, processing plants, coal silos, blast furnace .... A wonder!

dear Alex,
this is a very impressive shot.
this is actually human construction but in my feeling this looks like a big flower to the sky.
perhaps human deep intent may be common to plant's will. both look up the space above the sky, or will go or go back to the universal home...
this figure and radiating style are really artistic to my eyes.
