Photographer’s Note
Waiting for a lock on the Rhone-Rhine-canal. Somewhere between Dole and Besançon. A hotel-barge is coming out of the lock and we are waiting behind the sailing boat for our turn to go in. The canal follows mostly the riverbed of the Doubs river. Not easy to navigate but absolutely beautiful. It links the Saône river with the Rhine and provides a link for navigation between the Baltic and the Mediterranian.

Very beautiful picture! Maybe it looks like a little bit overexposed... (Due to the water reflections maybe? I always have problems myself, not using the right filters)
But the composition, framing and sharpness contribute to make a wonderful image. Very well done!

True colors. I like reflection on the water. I would have panned to the right to off centre the boats. Great exposure. Great DOF. Nice job!

As pretty as a picture comes to mind. Very pleasing shot, like the note and wish I could be on those rivers, taking such shots.

Bravo !

Something that I really like to try one day. Going along this beatiful landscapes on a silent canal. Beatiful picture, well composed.
