[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
The Siberian tiger (Panthera tigris altaica) is a rare subspecies of tiger (P. tigris). Also known as the Amur, Manchurian, Korean, Altaic, or North China tiger, it is confined completely to the Amur region in the Far East, where it is now protected. It is considered to be the largest of the six tiger subspecies and the largest cat in the world.

This picture has been taken in the "citadelle" of Besancon.
