Between the Cross and the Angel... Photo

Photographer’s Note

So, after 8 months in Besancon of learning the French languadge, it's time to return to my home, Greece... before leaving this lovely city, I would like to show you another shot of the sunset "The Cross, the Angel and the Light!" . Here you can see some more sky...

About the symbolism:
If the Cross represents the Passion of Christ
and the angel the Revelation
then the sun is the light of the Ressurrection, from which our world is illuminated...

This photo is also an answer to Thierry [tityop] , who was wondering why I placed the sun in the middle of my previous photo... His advice is really important. but we cannot always create the best conditions... just because I took it from the window of my house... here you can see the edge of the roof, on the upper right corner of the photo...

J'espère que même rentré chez toi en Grèce, tu continueras à partager tes photos sur TE.
Un soleil qui se couche et qui symbolise peut-être bien la fin d'un long séjour en France.

Cherubin this scene is really lovely to enjoy just as you have posted it. The edge of the roof really helps add the feeling of wide open expanse in this scene. Very well executed and a delight to see!

Interesting note, as at first I didn't understand why you had left the top of the roof. Lovely sunset colours with the sun captured between the parts of the building; I expect this only happens for a week or two each year before the setting sun has moved to a different part of the sky. I like Fabrice's idea of this being symbolic of the end of your stay in France. We can now look forward to photos of your native Greece. How about starting with a sunrise?

Καλησπέρα πάτερ

Όμορφη φωτογραφία με εξαιρετική ατμόσφαιρα. Δεν με ενοχλεί καθόλου το κομμάτι της σκεπής. Αντιθέτως αντανακλά λίγο φως και φαίνεται καλή στο μάτι. Επίσης μου αρέσουν τα soft χρώματα.
