Photographer's Note
Petite-France is an area in Strasbourg, Alsace, France.
It is located on the Grande Île (Main Island), where the river Ill splits up into a number of canals and cascades through a small area of medieval half-timbered houses and baroque sandstone buildings. In the Middle Age, the Petite-France was the tanning-houses and slaughterhouses area.
The name Petite-France ("Little France") was not given for patriotic or architectural reasons. It comes from the "hospice of the syphilitic" (Hospice des Vérolés, in French), which was built in the late fifteenth century on this island, to cure persons with syphilis, then called the "French disease" in German, Franzosenkrankheit.

Hello Asa,
The restaurant although deserted at the moment looks a pleasant place to sit and eat whilst admiring the architecture and taking in the atmosphere. A nicely lit image with good colours and sharpness. The detail in the architecture is very well rendered.

Hello Asa,
The distance between the restaurant's furniture and the buildings gives deepness. The POV gives a good view of the architecture of the buildinds, well framed by the trees. The colors are natural and there is excellent sharpness.
Best regards

Hello Asa,
Interesting story about the 'French disease' :)
From this terrace we have a wonderful view of the typical architecture of that district.
With its brown chairs and white tablecloths the terrace fits well with the facades of the houses.
You framed the picture well with the overhanging branches.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Asa
A well framed shot from this welcoming corner of this city. The typical half-timbered houses has a prominent place in the composition, and I love the bias in the construction. I would love to enjoy a glass of gewürztraminer on the foreground restaurant. Great work:) TFS. Enjoy your WE.

Hello Asa!
True "lazy-photo ".:-)
You sat down on a very nice place, you're looking at the beautiful medieval houses, resting, and you drink a Bordeaux wine. something like this is heaven. And I'm jealous :-)
Have a nice day.

Hi Asa,
ONe can see a strong Swiss/German flavor to this lovely architecture.
Those window flowers add a fine splash of color to this wonderful lit scene that enjoys a very nice natural frame of green and contrasting blue sky.
