Photographer’s Note
The Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-Strasbourg,is one exceptional gothic architectural achievement. It's also the first building that surpassed tha great pyramid in terms of height. It also has one of the greatest central doors i have happen to see in gothic buildings but not only. A "small" part of the central gate of the curch is shown here.

Hello Gkonis,
You've chosen an excellent vantage point to present the details of the portal. I know of no more elaborate set of carvings in a doorway. You must have had subdued light — the stark contrasts of light and shadows are missing. Well done.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Just by looking at the thumbnail I could recognise this wonderful cathedral.
Your shot is superb, with a great DOF and sharpness. Well done.
