Place de la Sinne along the Grand-Rue in Ribeauvillé, 48.196, 7.3165 on the map.
From the web: Fountain of the Sinnbrunne, 7.2m diameter. The central column was built in 1862 in honor of Ribeauvillé offered by the sculptor named Friedrich.
An attractive architecture style, and many small alleys "split" from the main street, like the one on left side in this picture, I was overwhelmed by its beauty and could have spent hours just taking such photos.

Nice old traditionnal houses, well catured, good angle and perfect sharpness, well framed with the statue.
danos (83629) 2014-03-10 0:28
nice the architectral style of the house in the square with the fountain in the middle to outline against the house on the backdrop.
I like the clarity as the sharpness of the scene with the creative perspective from the left pedestrian to adds depth in the scene.

Bonjour, cher Ike,
Encore un village qui bénéficie d'une beauté régionale toute particulière.
Ces maisons colorées, ces rues étroites, ces places et ces sculptures, l'ensemble forme un joli témoignage du passé.

Fine view of this beautiful village with stunning architecture. Like you, could also spend hours walking through the small lanes admiring the buildings and people watching

I see that you make a trip to France, with a wonderful result.
You found a very nice place with a wonderful half-timbered facades and church tower in background.
You chose a very well angle with depth and perspective.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice week,

The length of the street is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and the colours of the architecture of the building. The cloudy sky does not hurt the output of the colours. Have a nice day.

I like the point of view, though I think I would be inclined to crop the car on the left. The fountain makes a fine focal point whilst the background architecture, which is quite delightful, completes the scene beautifully. Very good technical presentation.

It's a charming corner in Ribeauville. The main building in your picture with yellow wall and green shutters, quite inviting. The narrow alley on the left is the best place for a leisure stroll.

Some odd boxes (flower boxes?) are positioned around the fountain.
The yellow facade with the green window shutters makes a very pretty sight, even when the sky isn't at its most picturesque.
You're right, the small street leading up looks very inviting and most likely to further discoveries.
Very attractive composition.
Best regards, Paul

a very attractive building, constructed and decorated according to the traditional architectural style of this region but also displaying some individual traits. I like the way it extends in the frame and the context you included around it. This is a very charming part of the town, you've described it with great accuracy and inviting depth. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,

This is a very quaint little corner with pretty architecture. I am surprised France has not gone to completely digital TV.

This entire region must be like a fairytale, and yet each little town seems to have its own unique charm. Although you couldn't avoid the back end of the car, I like that you included the swerved road in this composition, taking us off into the distance and piquing curiosity as to what lies beyond this bright and colorful little "square." Very well balanced to place the fountain/statue between the two lamp post's, and that timbered facade makes a most delightful backdrop. Overcast skies, who cares...this is a lovely! Have a great day ahead. Take care.

looks like Alsace abound with so picturesque and charming villages!
Lovely place, where life seems to go at its own, leisure pace.
The architecture looks beautiful and people add admittedly some life to it,but it still looks so peaceful and tranquil.
Have a nice day
kato (11630) 2014-03-11 3:12
You're capturing well this place by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the tasteful old buildings around the small square and narrow/split alley the street lamps and the sculpture on square. It still looks like to remain the atmosphere of medieval times.
Royaldevon (26847) 2014-03-11 4:25
Aren't these villages in Alsace beautiful? This one is not one that I have visited but it would surely be on my list if we visited the region again! I love the character and the visual spectacle of the timber framed houses. The shutters and window boxes just add to the delight!
You have a lovely view point, here, where there is a winding road to lead into the shot after we have feasted our eyes on this lovely 'Place'.
Have a great day,
adramad (35671) 2014-03-11 9:11
A great POV of this beautiful square, I remember very well, because we was taking pictures by the fountain. The day I was not very conducive to that gray sky, but the warm colors of the city supplies the problem.
Delightful beautiful colors.
Very good brightness and sharpness.
Well seen and done better. I Like
Have a good day.

Fine Ribeauville scene for the cobblestone street, central elegant statue, and the picturesque half-timber, green shutter building.
Looks like a fun place to stroll and soak in the history.
Thanks for sharing,

Excellent composition with nice typical Alsace house. I like the arrangement with the statue between the nice street lights. The superb tight crop allows full concentration on the beautiful house.
Very well done.

I like this place - it is very inviting to sit down and have a cup of coffee even despite the little bit gloomy weather. Good choice of POV which enabled you to include also the narrow lane on the left - it adds some depth and extra interest to the composition.
Very pretty architecture and well shown.
Thanks for sharing

ho un bel ricordo di questa città, come di tutta l'Alsazia, la tua foto ne ritrae i tratti essenziali ed è piacevole osservare i molti soggetti.

interesting architectural details from
this house offering beauty and symmetry
a real attractive architecture style

I like the repetition of the opened, green shuttered windows, with the smaller one in the attic nicely breaking the pattern. The statur makes a fine focal point and the diffused light has allowed maximum shadow detail. The road at left adds perspective. Tfs!
jmdias (52918) 2014-05-23 17:26
very interesting this angle, you got to show well the fountain and these façades so beautiful. it is a pity the white sky. TFS.
