This picture is made with six photos stitched together.
It was taken on the ridge of the Vosges, around Le Tanet and Le Gazon du Faing, at about 1300 meters above the sea level.
In the fog on the right, there is the Lac des Truites (also known as Lac du Forlet), which is frozen in winter.

You show us an impressive landscape here. This view down inti the fog filled basin really is gorgeous. This snowdrift on the summit left hand is an interesting "addition" in your photo. I like this one very much!

You had a crystal clear day to take this beautiful landscape photo, with a good perspective leading us from crispy clear details to foggy areas.

Quel bonheur de revoir ces paysages enneigés de mes Vosges natales! Un cirque glaciaire superbe dans des paysages féériques!
Allez, encore une semaine et je pourrai également goûter au mètre de neige vosgien! Gardez-en pour moi!

At first glance, this look good but nothing too impressive, but when looking closer, especially the large version, there are so much detail and texture. The shadow on the cliff, the forest and foggy valley is really fantastic. The only minor thing to improve this composition is to include an object that anchor our vision or grab our attention. Such as if there is a large tree or rock of something in the foreground or middle ground. or you can have a person up on the left side looking into the valley. Other than that I really enjoy this emense landscape. Good work.
