Warm Autumn Feeling Photo

Photographer’s Note

An old lady coming out of Hunawihr, a lovely village in the Alsatian wine growing region and one of my favorite photo spots, these days the vineyards display fall colors in full glow and despite constant hazy skies the sensation of warmth radiating from all these golden tones is very pleasant.

Bonjour Jean Yves. Definitely a fine shot. the light is marvelous, the warm tones strong enough to warm the old bones of that lady and her equally old dog. Great view and i love the placement of the road and the old couple. A pleasure to look at. Regards. Klaudio.

This autumnal atmosphere can't be surpassed! One nearly "feels" autumn here - it's beautiful side... these golden slopes are an incredible view indeed. Hiking there now must be a dream ... but, unfortunately - other days will come.

This would have been a fine photo even without the old lady and the dog, but with the included it's perfect. You've chosen a very good POV showing the road in a nice curve towards the village. The colours are extremely warm.

Indeed very warm light. Strong layered composition from foreground to back. Those vineyeards are like created to be photographed. Grandmother presence is nice too.

Salut Jean Yves, warm colours here indeed, and a pleasant curved road becoming a village street. Of course shooting from a lower position would have given the lady more prominence in the frame, but then the view would have been lost...

Ce que j'ai appris en photographie de lieu, c'est qu'il est toujours intéressant d'intégrer des enfants ou des personnes agées ! Cela souligne l'ancienneté et le coté pittoresque ! Ici, c'est très réussi ! Il y a même un chien !
Les couleurs des vignes sont splendides !

C'est magnifique !!!
J'ai immédiatement reconnu l'Alsace (je n'y ai passé qu'une semaine dans ma vie mais dans un village qui ressemblait énormément à celui-ci). Le paysage et le cadrage sont tip-top, et la dame avec le chien qui la suit sont des épices relevant cette photo au rang d'un met rare...sérieux, j'adore.

Great shot! The lone woman walking along the road in the lower right corner really makes this scene. I also like the different layers, with the road, the village and then the distant fields and hills each taking there place and giving a nice sense of depth. Well done!

Superbe ton classique de la saison!la lumiere n'est pas si mal que ça!t'as du attendre longtemps pour le placement ideal de mamie?encore une fois la preuve qu'un petit element d'humanité apporte beaucoup a l'ensemble de la compo...

Ici le jaune est un peu plus timide...50/50 avec le vert,j'espere finir mon 1er tri a la fin de la semaine(merci l'anticyclone!)ce soir le jus sort du pressoir à 19°potentiel soit 320gr de sucre/litre...c'est plutot bien...

Hi JY. You know it almost looks like you had an 81a warming filter to get that look. I guess the barrage of fall foliage is right around the corner on TE! We had a drought this year so the colors will be way off in my area. I like the way you included the old lady and the road that gets eaten by the town. Nice one JY.

Tu as bien capté la lumière et les chaudes couleurs se l'automne qui avance... Les PdV et cadrage sont excellents avec cette femme sur la courbe de la route avec son chien qui la suit, donnant une image de la tranquillité de l'endroit!
Je note souvent des vignes dans tes photos! d;-)

Quel magnifique vue ces vignes a l'automne en Alsace. Les couleurs sont super chaudes super plaisantes. J'adore ta composition avec cette rue en coubre et la vieille dame toute courbee et son chien. Une bien belle image.

Belle composition avec ce village au milieu des vignes, très belle teinte avec cette lumière, bien vu le pdv avec cette route sinueuse et cette brave dame qui baisse la tête ... soit pour éviter d'être reconnue ou pour regarder où elle met les pieds ... les crottes de chien sont si fréquentes, il paraît que certains propriètaires laissent leur chiens faire ça n'importe où et même dans les lieux touristiques très fréquentés ;-)))

ce n'est pas la vigne multicolore qui a attiré mon regard très longtemps (bien que j'adore ce mouvement de couleur donné par cet étalement de ceps... faudrait aussi que j'aille pixeliser deux ou trois plans de vignes valaisans un de ces quatre) mais cette petite grand-maman au premier plan... drôle !
Et c'est ça la photo.. capturer des instants de vie même s'ils ne sont pas sensés être le sujet principal de la photo...
Sinon rien à redire sur le cadrage, la netteté, les couleurs... c'est bien réalisé.

I can see why this is one of your favourite photo locations. The tones of autumn are well seen here and I love the way you caught the woman trailed by her dog. She is hunched and old and likely has lived here for a thousand years....The leaning fence posts above the upper bank really add to the allure of the shot. Je suis plutôt surpis, car je me souviens très bien d'avoir critiqué cette photo... Je ne sais pas pourquoi ma critique n'est pas là.
Alors, je recommence.
Une belle scène d'automne. Je t'avais demandé si tu avais payé cette dame pour faire partie de la composition ou bien c'étais de la chance ou de la patience... De plus mon commentaire était un peu grivois en comparant les couleurs de vos automnes et des notres et en disant que vous ne pouvez pas tout avoir... Bon, je n'oserais recommencé alors je te laisse en disant, bien belle image avec un certain manque de couleur ;-)
