Colmar en idioma francés y oficialmente, Kolmar en idioma alemán, es una ciudad y comuna en el departamento de Alsacia del Alto Rin, Francia.

En 1999 Colmar tenía una población 65.136 habitantes.

El centro de la ciudad antigua, bien conservada, alberga varios edificios, a veces de gran tamaño, de estilo gótico alemán y primer Renacimiento, así como un número de antiguas iglesias.

El creador de la Estatua de la Libertad, Bartholdi, nació en esta bella ciudad.

Colmar in French language and officially Kolmar in German language, is a town and commune in the department of Haut-Rhin Alsace, France.

Colmar in 1999 had a population of 65,136 inhabitants.

The center of the old city, well preserved houses several buildings, some large German Gothic style, and the first Renaissance, as well as a number of old churches.

The creator of the Statue of Liberty, Bartholdi, was born in this beautiful city.

Muy bonitos detalles en este edificio. Me gusta su colour y estilo. La foto se ve bien nitida. Me gustan los colores naturales que le diste y ademas tu punto de vista es perfecto. Gracias :-)

A superb typische house and a very nice view. The POv is very well selected and the large FG give a great depht to the image. Good managment of light too whith plesant contrast between play and shade.

Hello Charo,

Simple but elegant shot, of an exotic style of architecture. The steep roof suggests that this area gets a great deal of snow. The exquisite carvings around the windows and doors suggests that the owner must have taken great pride in his house. Shot in March, the early blossoms are seen in bloom.

I hope you have a good break and nice to see your posts again.

I am happy to see this fine post because the architecture is really something I have never seen especially with the steep slope of the roof. I wonder why the roof is designed that way, not for climate or winter but maybe for the attic space?

I like it, the shape of the building is so unique. Good informative note and who would think the a freedom expression of the creator born here.

Hi Charo,
This lovely French architecture is seen in wonderful soft warm light that brings out all its intricate details.
The colors are superbly clear and natural with the lovely blue sky complimented the golden tones of the architecture.

The flowering tree makes a splendid frame for this lovely building. The light playing across the façade brings out the detail in the architecture superbly. Lovely colours and very good clarity.
