In Meymac, The Fontaine aux lions, the lions foutain, of the 20th century, inaugurated in 1907, built in volcanic rock.

The Meymac city architectural and natural heritage is important. We discover among others:
_ The belfry of the 13th century. Initially in the defensive system of a castle, then belfry in 1265.
_ The Gaye-Bordas house of the 19th century, built in a neo-medieval style in 1878, by Jean Gaye-Bordas, vintner.

MEYMAC is a french commune, located in the department of Corrèze of the Limousin area, populated of 2 579 Meymacois in 2009, distributed out of 87.2 km², that is to say 29.6 hab./km².

The Meymac municipality is the vastest of the Corrèze departement, and one municipality of the Parc Naturel Régional de Millevaches en Limousin.

The VÉZÈRE source is on the territory of the Meymac municipality.

_ The VÉZÈRE rises to an altitude of 887 meters, in the Massif Central, on the plateau de Millevaches, in the tourbière de Longéroux, near the Puy Pendu, in the municipality of Meymac, after a course of 211 kilometers and crossing a watershed of 9656 km², it flows into the Dordogne river in Limeuil in the Dordogne departement. For several tens of thousands of years, men of the Magdalenian have succeeded in shelters limestone of banks of the VÉZÈRE, the valley is called "LA VALLÉE DE L'HOMME", because of important prehistoric sites there. Prehistoric sites in the valley of the Vézère are classified as World Heritage by UNESCO as "prehistoric sites and caves with the valley of the Vezere."

Hello Joël,
The fountain makes a fine focal point before the eyes go on to take in the rest of this attractive scene. The weather could perhaps have been better, but you have cleverly brought out the tones and textures in the architecture to good effect. Well composed with good technical quality.

La fontaine est l'élément principal de cette photo qui capte complétement le regard. Le soleil était aux abonnés absents mais celà ne t'a pas empéché d'obtenir un bon cliché.

Bonjour Joel,

The fountain is very well positioned between the lines of the houses, making a fine focal point, before the converging lines of the street draw the view towards the tall church spire.
A fine dof keeps the interest throughout the shot.

Bonjour, cher Joël,
Tu as su parfaitement mettre en valeur les trésors architecturaux de ce village bien tranquille, loin de toute agitation !
La fontaine trône sur la place, ancien lieu de rassemblement. Malgré tout, elle continue de jouer une musique de cascades.
Un réel plaisir à contempler.

Bonjour Joël,

La distance entre la fontaine et la tour de l'horloge donne de la profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs de l'architecture des maisons. Le ciel nuageux donne un bon contraste aux couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

quelle belle fontinae toute ronde sueprbe cpatage j'adore les fontaines écouter le bruit de l'eau tourne autour et regarder les détails, la mise en valeur avec la rue est parfaite, merci.

Bonjour Joel,

J'aime bien cette vue du village à travers la fontaine. Les têtes dorées des lions ressortent bien sur le noir. Mais ou sont passé les villageois?

bel villaggio, la fontana è molto bella, ma la torre che si vede è molto elegante, una bella architettura, slanciata e con il tetto che sembra poggiato sopra come il tappo di una teiera di porcellana.

Tu nous as déniché là un charmant village corrèzien pas trop envahi par les touristes. Même la belle fontaine ne semble plus attirer les habitants du lieu!

Un village de la Correze que j ai decouvert lisant les romans de Michelet

La vedette de la photo est, bien sur,la fontaine, mais la tour au fond a gauche semble bien intéressant a regarder
