Photographer’s Note

A new view of Halles Centrales de Limoges taken this time from the Place de la Motte. I found this magnificent building with these beautiful red brick, windows and water lines.
A semblance of symmetry ...

The central Limoges halls were built between 1885 and 1889. They are located place de la Motte, in the very heart of Limoges.

The building is a structure of brick, metal, glass and zinc cut. A frieze porcelain in the purest tradition limougeaude adorns the facade.

The structural steelwork information directly on the time and recalled instantly Eiffel. Indeed, they are 2 brothers of the famous architect of the eponymous tower, Pesce and Lévesque who instructed the manufacture of the monument. The municipality had previously unsuccessfully sought the company of Gustave Eiffel.
