Photographer's Note

The Abbey of Sainte-Marie de la Règle is an abbey in Limoges, Haute-Vienne of the ninth century.
it was founded in 817 by Louis the Pious. It belonged to the diocese of Limoges and Bourges Province.
Women Benedectine abbey led by abesses coming from the Limousin aristocratic society it was an important woman abbey until of xviii century.
The monastic buildings were almost completely destroyed in the nineteenth century, and the rest in 1960. Elements including carved keystones of the old gate are shown at the Museum of the Bishop in Limoges.

The refectory an the cellars has been completely restored.''

Cette abbaye bénéficie d'une architecture gothique au fil des âges. De plus, l'environnement est particulièrement plaisant avec cette végétation fort bien entretenue.
L'image est très bien présentée, une fois de plus.

This is a charming place, an interesting old abbey, surrounded by gardens and trellises. The light is good, the details are sharp and there are lots of different textures to add interest.
I just feel that the shot could have had greater impact if you had taken us in closer and given us a bigger 'look' at the abbey.

l'abbazia deve essere molto interessante, l'orto è ben curato con tutti i cartellini al loro posto.

Le abbazie in luoghi bellissimi e luoghi turistici.
Pochi monaci, ed anziani, un po di miele, creme in quelli delle suore, qualche volta un "esorcista" (PD) vi è tutto ma manca il "ricambio la spiritualità.
Bella immagine ed ottimo POV a salire.
