Photographer's Note

The Château de Hautefort is a French château and gardens located in the town of Hautefort in the Dordogne. The château was reconstructed in the 17th century, and embellished with a Garden à la française. In 1853, the landscape architect, Count of Choulot, redid the gardens, adding a landscape garden, geometric flower gardens, topiary gardens imitating the domes of the château, and a long tunnel of greenery. Next to the formal gardens is a hill with an Italian garden with winding shaded paths. Notable trees in the park include a Magnolia grandiflora and a Cedar of Lebanon. The gardens are listed by the Committee of Parks and Gardens of the Ministry of Culture of France as one of the Notable Gardens of France.

living in France you have probably plenty of stunning castles like that in supply :-) You captured it very nicely, and I like the symmetry of the foreground very much. Nice and cheerful colors, good contrast and sharpness.

I might have rotated this image a little more to the left so that the horizontal lines are level & not leaning towards the right. I usually use this pattern for wide angled shots /|\

The placement of verticals on the centre line avoids excessive distortion to perspective at either side. Apart from that a wonderful balanced composition with good sharpness, color & contrast. Tfs!

C'est une belle présentation de ce château avec l'allée fleurie qui y amène le regard. Le cadrage est bien exécuté sous une luminosité qui rehausse les couleurs.

its a beautiful building with a complementary beautiful light and warmth, but i think the photo could be even further enhanced if you had the bottom portion of the ground in full view.

we do not see any castles here in Australia and not to many french gardens, so looking at this picture is very pleasurable to me.
I love the slated roof with towers and bay windows.
Of course you took the shot on a perfect day and from the perfect POV.
