Photographer's Note

A view of the Musée des Beaux Arts (Fine Arts Museum) in the city of Tours. The building, which dates from the 17th and 18th century was formerly the Palace of the Archbishops of Tours. It now houses many fine pieces of furniture and a considerable collection of French and foreign paintings from the Middle Ages to the 20th century.

In the background can be seen the twin towers of the Cathedral of Saint Gatien, which was built between the 12th and 16th centuries in medieval style and later renaissance gothic. On the left can be seen a splendid example of a Lebanon Cedar tree, believed to be some 200 years old.

The picture is a stitch of six vertical images.
