Photographer's Note
Last WE we had a meeting with Didi and his wife in order to visit and take pictures of some Loire Valley castles. Nice WE but It rained for two days!
In front of the castle of Sully-sur-Loire there was a group of old Citroen cars that had made a stop. The people were dressed in old costumes and it was an opportunity to take some pictures.
I tried a B&W conversion to enhance the atmosphere.
Sorry for the “beginner's fault” concerning the framing.

Hello Bernard,
I am a very great fan of old cars, you know that not black and white fan but here an exception.
The cars come out of a black and white period.
Sharpness and clarity are pleasant for look at.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice day,
John.

salut Bernard

Hello Bernard,
With cars like these b&w was an obvious and succesful choice. The cars are nicely llined up along a diagonal with the hard working driver set nicely in the centre. The photo has a good greyscale and fine contrasts.
Kind regards,
Gert

Un B & W di classe .
Fort " T" tipe ...ed maschio in "vintage" vestito .
Perfetta esecuzione e bilanciamento dei grigi .
Contrasto perfetto .

Hello Bernard - The smartly suited and booted gentleman appears as if he requires quite a bit of force to start this lovely old car! My father used to collect old cars (not Citroens though) and I remember him turning the engines over by this method. The B&W conversion is excellent and as you say it does enhance the atmosphere by giving a 'period' feel to the shot. Warm regards rosemary

Salut Bernard
