Less visited place - Abbaye de Fleury, also known as the Abbaye de Saint Benoît (Saint Benedict Abbey).
Founded around 630, it is one of the oldest abbeys of the Benedictine rule. In 660, the remains of Saint Benedict of Nursia were transferred to Saint Benoît from Monte Cassino.
The monastery, known for the Fleury Playbook, was pillaged and damaged multiple times over the course of history, including during the Norman conquests and the French Revolution. The current abbey church is in the Romanesque style and dates from the eleventh century. A community of approximately 40 monks currently resides in the monastery.
Benedict of Nursia (Italian: San Benedetto da Norcia) (c. 480 – 21 March 543 or 547) is a Christian saint, honored by the Catholic Church and the Anglican Church as the patron saint of Europe and students.
Benedict founded twelve communities for monks at Subiaco, Italy (about 40 miles (64 km) to the east of Rome), before moving to Monte Cassino in the mountains of southern Italy. The Catholic Order of St Benedict and the Anglican Order of St Benedict are of later origin and, moreover, not an "order" as commonly understood but merely a confederation of autonomous congregations.
Benedict's main achievement is his "Rule of Saint Benedict", containing precepts for his monks. It is heavily influenced by the writings of John Cassian, and shows strong affinity with the Rule of the Master. But it also has a unique spirit of balance, moderation and reasonableness (ἐπιείκεια, epieikeia), and this persuaded most religious communities founded throughout the Middle Ages to adopt it. As a result, his Rule became one of the most influential religious rules in Western Christendom. For this reason, Benedict is often called the founder of western monasticism.(After Wikipedia).
There is wall behind the monastery and the trees hiding it, so quite difficult to find a good POV.
Slightly different view in Workshop.

Impressive Romanesque architecture, Saint Benedict Abbey vertical showing off the circular main, round nave, stacked tower, and all with arches. And fine resolution with natural color, and viewed from the brick and wood gate, over the top of the ancient rock wall.
Nicely composed and created,

The point of view looking over the wall makes for a pleasing well balanced composition. I like the contrast offered by the brick pillar against the grey stonework of the church, which is typical French Romanesque style. A well presented image with very good colours and clarity.

Hello Malgo ,
A superb Church take fom an excellent POV . As others , The framing by the trees is excellent , even I'm not convinced by the the white gate . On the other hand , I like the presence of the red bricked pilar .
The WS , with another perspective is very good .

Another beautiful photo! The greenery to frame this abbey in perfect light is a great inclusion. You manage the light - everything from the rust on the gate to the wispy clouds - so well. Nice rich browns and greys!
Take care and enjoy the rest of the weekend,

Excellent view of the abbey with great framing with the tall spire in superb contrast against the blue sky. You managed the bright light so well and brought out all the colours, textures and details. The foreground inclusions provide a beautiful frame for the picture.
thanks for sharing and have a nice evening.

Bella idea e bella realizzazione.
PS uff...qui è tornato freddo e pioggia

This is a lovely Romanesque abbey in a crystal clear photo with perfect colours. It's sometimes hard to decide which version out of several to use for the main upload, but this time I am tempted to prefer the workshop. I find it more harmonious with just the hedge in the foreground and the trees on the sides.

Hello malgo - You say that it was difficult to get a good POV but I really like what you managed to do here. My eye immediately fell on the tiers of roof apexes; conical, pyramidal and surmounted by the pointed spire, a superb feature of this composition. No other vantage point would give you this, and I love it.
A very fine shot, well done!

Delightful image in this photo of St. Benoit, in it we can recreate all the charm of the wonderful apse and tower, which is a model of harmony and beauty in their volumes.
An image to enjoy, with its beautiful colorful, high brightness and perfect sharpness.
Happy start to the week.
How wonderful travel great perspective you have, what fascinates me most is that of Georgia and Armenia, after seeing the photos of Paul, would give anything to be able to visit, but it must be complicated ....

This is quite a masterly architectural photo, with deep colors, excellent DOF, pleasant symmetry and a great POV that induces a sense of awe. Congratulations & TFS.
BTW, there is a high school called Saint Benoit in Istanbul.

No ale to dyskusyjna sprawa -ja tez ostatnio coraz czesciej pokazuje rzeczy szerzej nawet jesli zblizenie mozxe byloby bardziej efektowne.
