A church with a bell tower in gimlet !

The origin of the church Notre-Dame de Puiseaux, date of the year 1112, when king Louis VI le Gros signed a creating charter one abbey in the city.
It is probably towards this date when the base of the bell tower was built on four enormous crossing pillars of the transept.
The remarkable church of Puiseaux, classified ancient memorial, is the object for several years of an important restoration. The facade, the square, the head, the transept and all the roofs were totally reconditioned.
In spite of all my efforts, it was impossible to me to take a photo without the presence of cars! We are in 21th century, it is necessary to be made a reason!;-))

Une tres belle note historique pour cette église au clocher inhabituel... Quelle lumière ce jour là ! Et un ciel particulièrement beau. La mosaique colorée formée par les blocs constituant les murs est de toute beauté : avez vous une idée de l'origine de ces différentes teintes?
Bien vu, mais c'est une habitude !!!

Yet another very impressive old church, Philippe, that fills the frame very well. Very good rendition of the textural details of the building, and a fabulous blue sky as a topping. As there was no chance to get rid of the cars, let's see the positive and say that they provide a contemporary context (and contrast) in front of the century-old sacred building.

Thank you for showing this architectural beauty Philippe. This is the lighting that I like most. Photo itself already telling us how good it is technically.
The wooden triangle roof at the mid-right of the pic seems to me a little diverging.
Is it something temporary?

Le clocher vrille mais le photographe à les pieds bien ancré au sol pour cette composition à la saturation bien affirmée.

Is this the same church as before? It looks completely different from this point of view. It is so much more monumental. The imposing facade and the tower rising in the back, twisting upward, gives powerful massing to the building. The cars also add that sense of scale as they sit beneath the heavy stone structure. You have nice contrast and details, especially in the main portal. Very impressive point of view. Nicely done.

Est-ce que ce la même église qu'est avant ? Il regarde complètement différent de ce point de vue. Il est tellement plus monumental. La façade imposante et la tour se levant dans l'arrière, tordant vers le haut, donne amasser puissant au bâtiment. Les voitures ajoutent également que sens de balance pendant qu'elles se reposent sous la structure en pierre lourde. Vous avez le contraste et les détails gentils, particulièrement dans le portail principal. Point de vue très impressionnant. Bien fait.

Les maires devraient penser aux photographes... Il ne faudrait pas constuire des parkings devant de si belles églises... Ce clocher en vrille est magnifique et je trouve aussi marrant de voir la cloche au sommet au milieu sans clocher! Bien vu Philippe!

Une église spéciale; j'aime bien la tour qui a une forme bizarre. Les cloches sont bien placé sur un endroit peu habituel (enfin c'est le cas chez nous). Eh ben, tu me connais, j'adore aussi photographier les églises et je connais le problème des voitures très bien. Une dépanneuse serait une solution... (pas la bonne je suppose ;-)).A+

Très bel architecture, il n'y a que vous Philippe pour nous trouver des églises aussi originales. Vous avez raison: il nous est parfois impossible de faire autrement pour certains bâtiments historiques; on ne peut en exclure les voitures ou les gens. Bien vu.

On devrait interdire le stationnement devant une église, c'est gênant pour nous les photographes.
Clocher fort original et la couleur du ciel est bien saturée comme si vous aviez utilisé un polarisant.
L'orientation variable du viseur du Canon G3 est une aide précieuse pour le cadrage sans souffrir de contorsions.
