Photographer’s Note
The bible and stained glasses
Contrary to the legend, the stained glasses were not simple to include/understand, one needed, point out Jean-Yves Ribault to us, of very strong knowledge of the old history. It was not the book of "people who could not read". Today still, it is not easy for a visitor who does not have a good knowledge of the history of Jesus, saints, and prophets to include/understand the significance of the whole of the stained glasses. That once, does not see one such perplexed tourist in front of the stained glass of Joseph, and passionately seeking some memories on the life of the husband of Marie.... not realizing always that the Joseph of the stained glass is the son of Jacob, and that the told history is not that of the carpenter of Nazareth........

Bonjour Philippe,

Bonjour Philippe,
They didn't clean up my mirror lately but they sure cleaned this beautiful stained glas window when they heard that you should come along to take one of your famous pictures. And they also did take care of some excellent light.
Well done!

Hi Philippe. Yes I would guess that over time what message the creators of the stain glass meant can be lost or forgotten. I never would have considered that. Nevertheless we have another vibrant stained glass shot from you. This one is nice because we can see more than one area. Nice shot Philippe.

A brilliant and crisp addition to your series of stained-glass photos, Philippe. Good details present on the vividly colored artwork, and a perfectly symmetrical alignment with the well-corrected horizontal and vertical perspective. Interesting notes.

Philippe awesome details captured here. Excellent light and colors as well. I n the New Testament there is a passage of Scripture where Jesus seeks John ot be baptized in Matthew 3:13-17.
Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him.
John tried to prevent him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and yet you are coming to me?"
Jesus said to him in reply, "Allow it now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he allowed him.
After Jesus was baptized, he came up from the water and behold, the heavens were opened (for him), and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove (and) coming upon him.
And a voice came from the heavens, saying, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased."
This is why you see the light on Jesus in the scene. Good capture!

It is a beautiful stained glass scene Philippe. And yes, I would have thought that was John the Baptist baptising Jesus in the river, and I am wrong. There is no dove!
It is nice and sharp and you have composed it well. Thank you.
