Abbatiale du 11ème siècle
Sur les hauteurs de Preuilly nous dominons la verte vallée de la Claise et ses charmants valons. L'édifice roman du 11ème siècle a été considérablement restauré et remanié au 19ème siècle, avec l'adjonction de la flèche recouverte en tuiles vernissées, dans un goût contestable.

Hi Philippe,
This ancient church architecture as you say its from 11th centuray is certainly very well maintained. I am very convinced with the authorities of France for preserving it and keeping it away from urbanization.
Great view, very good background. Colors and sharpness is excellent.

En amoureux des anciennes pierres qui balisent notre passé historique, j'apprécie beaucoup ce cliché. Je ne suis pas un technicien ni un virtuose de la photo, mais j'aurais aimé la voir sous un ciel un peu plus bleu. Bravo, et merci de faire connaître ces magnifiques monuments.

Hi Philippe. Again a "timeless" feel to this pleasant photo of the old church spire towering above the village. A very nice illustration of this place and its traditional architecture. Not the easiest light, but well handled overall.

Your continoues documentation of churhces is very interesting Philippe. Again a variant in the well made compo also with fine details of the landscape and village around. Good crop to the square format as always with a considered compo.

Bonjour Philippe,

Le point de vue est magnifique pour nous présenter cette superbe abbatiale et son environnement campagnard, a-t-il fallu monter dans l'arbre !!! J'aime beaucoup. Très belle gestion des couleurs et de la lumière notamment au niveau du ciel qui donne un joli relief, c'est très agréable. Un magnifique endroit à découvrir, merci Philippe.

If it wasn't for Henry VIII some of England's ancient abbeys might still be in this wonderful condition. A very clear, sharp photo in excellent light. Very well composed from a prefect POV. The use of the trees for framing and the off-centred tower work very well.

Excellente prise de vue de cette magnifique église faisant partie de l'abbaye, dont je trouve les tuiles vernissées de la flèche très belles. La vue sur la verte vallée ainsi que l'inclusion des branchages à l'avant plan apporte beaucoup de fraicheur, les nuages du relief à la photo.

Back to the late middle ages. You placed the ancient church almost hidden in all that lovely green. A picture that can be recognized among thousand other pictures as the really “Papagolf”.

Mais comment te prends-tu pour les découvrir ces endroits, on aurait l'impression que tu photographie un pays en miniature dans ton jardin. Je suis vraiment étonné de constater la régularité de tes envois, mais ce qui me frappe c'est que on parle ici d'un sujet commun, la belle architecture historique dans les vieux villages de France.

Toi aussi tu ya vas de "ton église" qui ici souffre un peu du contre-jour que tu as dû affronter.
Le POV et la composition sont excellents comme d'habitude sans oublier la note qui accompagne la photo.

Un bâtiment très vénérable et très bien conservé. Il me plaît que tu le montres dans ses entourages et j'aime la pluralité des détails architecutrals. Inclurant les arbres à l'avant-plan donne une profondeur exceptionnelle.

Voici une papagolfade bien originale avec son clocher roman au toit très élancé et ses tuiles colorées. Les couleurs sont très printanières et agréables et la composition est un petit bijou d'équilibre.

What a beautiful picture. The best I like about your pictures in general is that your pictures are more about composition than colours. Your pictures look like from professional albums. Just made my list of favourite members:)
When comes to your colours, they look so natural and great, so I say that I prefer this one than posted on workshop.
I really admire your creativity, especially knowing that you eve don’t use SLR.

Pour l'ensemble de ton oeuvre qui fait découvrir les villages de France (un peu comme le célèbre Pierre Bonte) Bravo !
J'aime bie cette église et surtout le point de vue que tu as choisi, c'est parfait pour montrer que les églises sont le coeur d'un village ( avec le bureau de Tabac et la Pharmacie), aussi un beau travail de selection et de cadrage pour des éléments essentiels, les toits, l'église et le cadre de verdure.

Even in the difficult light, you've got this superbly. The framing is well done, & the sharpness on the church is excellent to show the details clearly. The BG of the rolling greens serves as an excellent backdrop.

Très belle photo d'architecture.
Les couleurs sont très belles et il y a une netteté appréciable.
Attention peut être à ne pas avoir trop de sharpening: on voit des artéfacts blancs sur le clocher.
