Photographer's Note

Here’s a view from the magnificent Castle of the Marquise of Maintenon. She was the one who enhanced the beauty of both the castle and the gardens. Let’s mention she were the unofficial lover of Louis XIV.

I really liked the mirror effects given by the water surrounding the castle and the depth given by the canal & gardens. It’s really a lovely place to discover. On the opposite side, you can see from the castle a great aqueduct which makes an amazing perspective on the horizon. I discovered this place when travelling from Paris to Chartres. It was a stunning event to me.
