Photographer's Note

The castle garden garden was created in the 1680s, at the request of King Louis XIV and his favorite future wife, the marquise de Maintenon.
Le Notre has drawn the parterre as well as the layout of the two paths of the park along the course of the Eure river.
The park as it is today was designed in the nineteenth century by the Duke de Noailles Paul, according to the English fashion.
The inachevate aqueduct of Vauban who carry the waters of the Eure to Versailles cros the park.
I could not photograph it because it was in backlights
