Photographer’s Note

The green fuels
The first alternative to oil is between the hands of the farmers and is named biocarburant. Resulting from a complex recycling of the agricultural produce, it could in the long term replace at 100% the fuel of our cars, and even to be used for the clothes industry of the bags of our supermarkets! If the combustion of colza is not less polluting in term of emission than that of the ordinary petrol engines, it generates less particles, and CO2 which it produces is of vegetable origin.

An interesting developpement and it may help, although I think energyreducement is the key to the solution. (and petrol is also from vegetable origin)
Good picture too with the diagonal line in the leftfront and the horizontal lines of the gear of the truck and the horizon. Fine colours.

A nice comprehensive photo of the colza field, Philippe. I like how in addition to the striking color contrast between the vivid green and yellows, your presentation also includes the agricultural machinery at work - an interesting diversion from many other colza photos that are coming in these days. Good notes, too.

I've seen very attractive pictures of the Colza with amazing yellows and greens. This is another one, with the plus of the truck and the interesting meaningful note presented. I like the panoramic format and the striking colours. Very well done!

These yellow fields are springing up all over the countryside here too. We call it rape which seems a strange name. Whilst it holds the key for fuel in the future, hayfever and asthma sufferers are not so enthusiastic as they are very allergic to the pollen from the flowers.
In your composition you have the big triangle of yellow echoed by the triangles of the crop-sprayer. Well cropped with strong, vivid colours.

Salut Philippe. Le colza est très en vogue sur TE en ce moment. Effectivement, en va en voir de plus en plus pour la production de bio diesel. Déjà un bon pas dans la bonne direction. Ca épuise moins nos ressources naturels et c'est plus photogénique qu'une pompe pétrolière. Donc même sur TE on en profite. Bien pris avec des couleurs très agréables et c'est la première (si je ne me trompe pas) avec le fermier-pétrolier en action dedans. Bien à toi.

La saison du colza ouvre de nouvelles perspectives pour faire de belles images.
Le soleil voilé donne de belles couleurs saturées avec une touche de rouge pour le tracteur.
Va falloir prospecter de mon côté en espérant avoir beau temps au prochain WE.

Hi Philippe, An interesting note to this picture. I wonder that how much more we have to paid to use vegetable oil to fuel our cars. You have done an excellent job in controlling the saturation for this picture. Nice color contrast and impressive curve and lines for the color dividing.

cela fait un moment que je ne t'avais pas commenté une photo, je reviens ici car ton albatros dans les colzas me plait bien... celui-déployant ces grandes ailes afin de récolter ces fleurs.
Peut-être qu'en enlevant encore plus de ciel cela aurait encore mis d'avantage en valeur l'étendue des lieux?

Hello Papagolf21, je suis heureux de faire partie du club des producteurs de colza tant à la qualité des membres qui compose ce thèmes mais aussi à la beauté de ces paysages et comme ce serai beau cette alternative au pétrole,mais du fait de la quantité énorme de colza qu’il faudrait la France et tous les pays d’Europe se couvrirai de jaune et encore il n’y aura pas je pense assez de surface cultivable afin de remplacer l’or noir mais se serai déjà cela et au vue de ces images couverte de jaune dont curieusement l’on (enfin c’est mon cas) se lassent pas et à la vue de ta photo qui apporte un plus à toute celle que j’ai pu voir jusque maintenant, ce plus c’est le tracteur et le fermier ou l’on voie quand même celui qui nous gratifie d’un tel spectacle haut en couleur c’est à dire l’agriculteur qui est bien utile, mais votre image ainsi exposée ou le vert tranche net d’avec le jaune créent un des effets les plus abouti je trouve surtout au niveau des couleurs qui claque bien plus que chez les autres membres, bien amicalement

Very interesting note and lovely image. The vibrant colors look just superb, as is the composition.

Regarding bio fuels, in the case of Argentina there were some experiences in the past, and Brazil is now producing a lot of fuel from recycling sugar cane, up to the point that now most of the cars manufactured there are factory ready both for oil and vegetal based fuel. Even now, under the rising oil prices, that vegetal oil is cheaper than the 'traditional' one.

Une photo très instructive, avec ta note. Il est intéressant de voir comment travaille cette machine au milieu d'un domaine de fleurs jaunes, avec un bon contraste avec ce qui est vert des arbres et de l'herbe, et ce qui est bleu du ciel.
Énergies alternatives et non polluantes, ceci commence à être une réalité, bien qu'il reste encore beaucoup un chemin à parcourir.
Un travail très ecologique et intéressant par ta jolie photo.

Le carburant est vert mais pas encore vraiment écolo. Il faut plus d'énergie pour produire le biocarburant que ce qu'il génère. Tout cela va évoluer à la plus grande joie des photographes qui vont se régaler les pupilles.

On dirait presque un insecte géant qui déambule dans le colza !! Ce rouge dans cette ambiance jaune et verte fonctionne très bien. J'aurais peut être enlevé un peu de ciel, mais bon, c'est histoire de chipoter.

La ligne diagonale faite par la machinerie agricole est un atout à la composition. La prise de vue diirge notreregard du champs de colza jaune vers le champs de couleurs verte ce qui donne de la profondeur à l'image. L'inage est claire et nette. La lumière fait ressortir les couleurs et leur donne un bon contraste. Bonne soiurée.
