Farm of Gâtinais
The gâtinais
Situated in Region Centre, in the Northeast of the department of Loiret, the Country Gâtinais extends over 7 cantons around the town(conglomeration) of Montargis, since the forest of Orlêans until the limits of the departments of Seine-et-Marne (Region Ile-de-France) and of the Yonne (Region Burgundy).
It is about the biggest Country in number of municipalities ( 75 ) after that from Beauce Gâtinais to Pithiverais. It counts approximately 55 000 inhabitants and half of the municipalities of the Country have less than 500 inhabitants, what gives evidence of the rural character of the territory.
The Landscape of the Country is globally divided between 57 % of agricultural surface, 21 % of woody surface and 19 % of urban surface.

Hi Philippe. The sideways view towards the old farm results in a very nice graphical composition of the man-made shapes amidst the lush greenery of the land. The dramatic sky certainly helps to add atmosphere to the setting. Very nice photo.

Vision minimaliste de cette ferme, mais image très forte avec un ciel attrayant, la verdure au premier plan et ces bâtiments de ferme ou en tout cas ce que tu en montres, c'est magnifiquement fait, superbe!

This looks like a very nice place to be. It looks very peaceful despite the threatening clouds. Good overall textures and color contrasts. The roof of the right building is quite amazing. Is it because of the snow it has that shape?...

Notre ami en villégiature dans son fief d'été du Gâtinais, nous décrit cette jolie ferme parfaitement cadrée, sous une bonne luminosité par un temps nuageux.
Il me semble que la pluie n'a pas tardé par la suite.

An unbelievable sky. I suppose this pic can not be that perfect with blue and bright sky. Vertical composition here looks beautiful. Very green environment witht this lovely farm buildings are very well framed.

Note très intéressante à propos du Pays Gâtinais, Philippe... Je dois dire que c'est par tes photos que je le connais car je ne m'y suis jamais arrêté... Un tort sans doute!
Pour cette photo, le toit de cette ferme est tout à fait intéressant et le ciel chargé est très beau. Bravo!

Wonderful and very pleasant image. The green fields make this shot, together with the heavy skies. And this small house is so beautiful. As always, light and contrast are great, same as the colors and the composition. Very well done, Philippe.

Wow, what a sky! I love how the building is hiding behind the beautiful green field. I like the wide composition here. Great cropping of the sky as you captured the all of the drama in the clouds. Well done!

La composition est très belle, les lignes soutenues par ce vert éclatant sont très horizontales pour mettre en évidence la ferme et surtout la surface de son toit à droite.
C'est la France! Rurale, agricole, c'est une belle photo.

Quel magnifique ciel que tu as pris là ! Bravo Philippe et une très belle exposition. Cela ferait une belle couverture pour Rustica ! J'aime bien ta composition aussi.

certains parlent du Gâtinais français pour la partie sud-ouest Seine et Marne et dans le sud de l'Essonne. Mais il y aurait aussi le Gâtinais oriental au sud de Fontainebleau vers Moret/Montereau/Sens. Si il y a un Gâtinais oriental, il y a un Gâtinais occidental ?
Vive le Pithiviers, le miel et le pâté d'Alouette !

Le cadrage met parfaitement en valeur cette toiture impressionnante. Le ciel est tout simplement magnifique avec des nuages aux teintes inquiétantes. Très bien fait !
