Behind the inclined locks you can admire this masonry work, one of the largest French canal-bridges of this type of an overall length of 470 meters.
The breach of 343 meters between abutments is crossed by the 6,02 m of width and 2,70 depth m basin.
If you cross this bridge you will cross in its medium the border of the Burgundy area separated by The Allier river it which further joined the Loire at a few hundred meters.
