Photographer’s Note

The pond of Combreux is located at about thirty kilometers of the town of Orleans. It is a place very appreciated by the fishermen and hunters This photograph was taken towards 8 o'clock in the morning by a cold slightly misty time.

Sensitivity used: 200 ISO

The composition is great. The image conveys feelings of tranquility and warmth, although it does look as though it is a cold autumn morning. The image has depth mediated by colour and focus... well captured.

Oh! It's really a great atmosphere here Saïd, with the misty tones and grain. A great picture, but I would have corrected the level. Having made a WS for it, I also found out it could be a nice panorama shot. Don't you think?

Oh! Quelle merveilleuse atmosphère vous avez créée ici Saïd, avec ce petit brouillard et ce grain dans l'image. Un très beau cliché, mais le niveau pourrait être corrigé. En faisant un WS pour le niveau, je me suis aperçue qu'un format panorama était aussi une bonne idée. Qu'en pensez-vous?

Une très belle composition avec une lumière "onirique". Très belle capture de ce pêcheur bien matinal. Le cadre est superbe.L'horizon penche un tout petit peu, je me suis permis un petit workshop.

Je n'entamerai pas de polémique (intéressante au demeurant) quant à l'horizontalité ou non de la photo, je respecte l'opinion de chacun. Je me laisse émouvoir par la composition et le léger grain (vraisemblablement, lié à la sensibilité 200 ISO)qui apporte un petit charme supplémentaire.

this point of view is controvertial...
let me say first, that I like his tones and "half-way" in how you composed this. the morning myst is an element to congratulate. I think you captured it in the "exact" moment.
IMHO there is too much water on the frame. and the main element (the fisherman) is too far from the point of attention.
In this case, I'd suggest (if possible to try whenever you can) to give a little more "sky" and less water.
and finally, some steps backwords could make some miracles too. :)

great picture, great colors, I loved the reflection blurness. the fisherman in the water breaks the water surface, in a wonderfull way.
I really liked the idea to show only the sky reflection, and not the skt itself.

Une de vos photo qui m'avait échappé , l'homme seul dans cette étendue d'eau avec juste cette pointe de lumière qui éclaire son visage, cet espace laissé dans le prolongement de la canne à pêche et tout autour ce contraste entre couleurs chaudes et froides. une de vos plus belles photo.

I love that time a day, Yor piscure is full of mood. Wonderful calm water, beautiful light, wonderful warm color, good contrast.

Shame the hoizont line tilt fore you. Just made a workshop.

I can't give full point on this, I shure would if the line was straight, it is a wonderful picture.

Bonjour Didi,
Je suis étonné de cette photo : si simple et pourtant tellement belle.
Les couleurs sont plutôt douces mais la touche de rouge me plaît.
On voudrait être à la place de cet homme en train de pêcher, seul mais actif. Le cadrage est très bien choisi ainsi que le point de vue.
Evidement, les reflets dans l'eau apportent beaucoup. L'image inspire le calme.

Bonsoir Didi,

Je me balladais dans tes toutes premières photos, et j'ai été irrésistiblement attiré par celle-ci !! Calme, frais, l'endrois rêvé. J'aime bien cette petite brume qui voile le fond, et qui fait encore mieux ressortir le pêcheur et la végétation rougeatres, très bien vu !!

Une petite inclinaison, mais bien corrigée dans les WS. J'aime bien celui de Vivianne, avec une vue panoramique. Une idée intéressante.

Fabuleuse image de pêche, ce que je préfère, ce sont les reflets que cela donne... on dirait une peinture et j'adore çà.
L'arrière plan me parait un peu en retrait par rapport à la beauté de cette photo.

C'est très comparable à l'Arc, dans l'esprit : on perd ses repères, le sens exact de la perspective et c'est très beau.
L'homme dans l'eau à mi-taille compte beaucoup pour l'effet.

J'adore cette capture pour le calme et l'impression de solitude qui s'en dégage notamment grâce au calme de l'eau qui devient un vrai miroir et reflète le pêcheur.
Très jolie composition.
