Photographer’s Note
Last post of António (ribeiroantonio) remind me of this one I took in the streets of Chartres during the sales.
They say that there's a financial crisis spread all over the world. How to fight it? Should people spend all they have left in the "huge savings" that sales have to offer? Or should we ignore it like this man seems to be ignoring? After all, we can't do everything they tell us to do. António says that he has a strong selective hearing but it's not easy to ignore all these flabergasted faces...

Hi Ricardo,
Nice shot and even humorous. Not sure the financial crisis is something we should worry too much about it but at least this image is good to lift our spirits. Nice catch and message displayed here. Thanks for sharing :-)

Savings are making no money so why not spend it!? Tough times ahead for all of us I guess. It's quite funny how the man is ignoring the very in-your-face posters. Judging from the motion blur he was rushing past before he was drawn in. Well spotted.

Hi Ricardo,
nice shot taken with the man ignoring the lot of "soldes" sign. Good composition of the photo. I will make a workshop to emphasize only on the signs and the man.

Attractive shot from the street and interesting sales poster, like it's screaming - you must buy, MUST BUY ;-)
As for the crisis - I choose to ignore it, otherwise I'll go mad. I can't stand the word crisis anymore in any context!
Have a nice day!

Good motion blur of the passing old woman. Good light management inside the building. Nice repetition of the 'soldes' poster throughout the store. Tfs!

Beau travail !

No, I don't think this photo is humorous. This a beautiful, deep, intelligent image. And maybe a sad one. Because the old man is sad, he seems full of difficult thoughts and problems. I love So much this shot, Ricardo! Bravissimo, because I love SO much clever photographers. And you are.

Ricardo,
I used to wonder who is the designer called Soldes, he is very famous and in every store :) Until I learn it meant Sale. Nice depiction of life in the city. The motion blur symbolic for me as we are always in the hurry to go somewhere. Sometime we just need to slow down and smell the flower, and looks what on sale. oops! I'm out so smiley face. BIG Hugs from me than.

Hi Ricardo,
During the sale, I am like this man, I flee these stores that are taken over by fanatics of the bargain... But I understand these people where this crisis is not a moment to overlook, especially with the €. An original photo with a good management of the image settings, well done Ricardo.
With all my friendships and a very good evening,

Hi Ricardo,
I think these advertising posters are success to attract many passing people to take a look on it but except the old man walking here, distinct color, thanks for sharing a selected shop from the street.

Ola Ricardo,
He he an appropriate sales period image in recession times, everything is supposed to be sooooo cheap, deal of the century at every corner but the person just saw the news (+90 000 jobless in a month in F) and is not in the mood for shopping, very good symbolic image.
Have a nice day JY
