In my yesterday post I wanted to amuse you. As i expected, everyone travelling encountered similar situations. And we must enjoy it! But of course in Chambord there so many photo opportunities. One can walk on the roof and it is a great experience to see close all these funny towers.
Yesterday was World Animal Day.
World Animal Day is celebrated each year on October the 4th. It started in Florence, Italy in 1931 at a convention of ecologists. On this day, animal life in all its forms is celebrated, and special events are planned in locations all over the globe. The 4th of October was chosen for World Animal Day because it is the feast day of Francis of Assisi, a nature lover and patron saint of animals and the environment. Numerous churches throughout the world observe the Sunday closest to October the 4th with a Blessing of the Animals.
The photos of pets are against TOS so I post a workshop. When I was walking around the castle I saw a couple with a cat. I was struck with her beauty. She was the loveliest creature I have aver seen, maybe. I wasn't shy at all and talked to the people and asked for photos, of course. The people were very kind and proud of their furry friend. For the first time I saw Ragdoll cat.
The Ragdoll is a cat breed with blue eyes and a distinct colorpoint coat. It is a large and muscular semi-longhair cat with a soft and silky coat.It is best known for its docile and placid temperament and affectionate nature. The name "Ragdoll" is derived from the tendency of individuals to go limp and relaxed when picked up.
Have a nice weekend.

A great place to sit on a warm day and admire the magnificent architecture of the château. The bench and framing trees give the image depth as we take in this amazing view. I like the soft light and quiet natural tones. Very good sharpness.

Ciao e buon fine settimana

Tu as su trouver le point de vue idéal pour mettre en vedette le château. Le banc au premier plan apporte beaucoup de profondeur et le cadrage est parfait. Le tout est d'une grande netteté sous un ciel finalement pas trop mal.

Another magnificent castle and a very nicely composed photo, although I was looking carefully for a while to see where you had hidden the cat. Only then I started to read the note and found the other pictures. The colours are very nice and a bench serves as well as anything else as a foreground. The trees frame the view very well.

Fine 'postcard' view of Chateau Chambord, the large green lawn and concrete bench foreground means it is not surrounded by modern buildings.
And I have not heard of Animal Day in the Colonies, but that does not mean it is not celebrated here.

Voilà un banc idéalement placé pour profiter au mieux de la vue sur ce beau château et qui complète bien ta composition (tu aurais dû essayer d'y poser le beau chat :))

This is indeed a very interesting and beautiful castle. I guess you saw the interior too, with the double spiral staircase. It is easy to understand why the French people finally revolted against this opulence and splendour...

Beautiful shot, especially the large version really gives a good impression, I know the light and weather is not ideal, but even with that, you have a wonderful image out of it. I like the use of the tree branches to frame the image and the empty bench is inviting for us to step and have a seat.

This looks like a pleasant spot to sit and rest for a few moments and admire the view. Good sharpness and superb color and saturation. The fg trees bookend the shot as well as providing depth, framing, layering and graphism. The bg people add scale and the path at left adds nice lead in lines. The patch of blue sky contrasts well against the yellow green grass. Tfs!

As Noel is the King, I am going to declare you the Queen of the Castle(s)! :) What a great series of photos this has been, I've truly enjoyed every one...and even though you may think it's become a bit too routine at the moment, I sure hope to see many more from this trip. So jealous! :)
I love the idea of placing a bench into a scene, I've always felt it helps give a sense of being there on the spot to enjoy the same pleasing types of views and atmosphere. Please keep these coming! Be well.
Friendly wishes from Az.,
