Photographer's Note

The Briare Canal was built in 1604 under the initiative of Sully, minister of King Henry IV.
If the early 1980s, some 800 commercial vessels were traveling each year, the tourism industry was exactly nonexistent.
Currently the tourism industry is rapidly expanding, the port has been redesigned to accommodate a large number of pleasure boats.

This is my last picture photographed with my Canon 30D. Soon I will launch my new 50D in time to learn using this marvel.
