Photographer’s Note

The castle of Boussay, located at the limit of Indre and the Loire and Vienna, is registered with the Inventory of the Historic buildings just as its commun runs and its gardens of the 18th century. It should be noted, which is rather

remarkable, that he remained in the same family since the 11th century.

HISTORY
It was founded in 1024 by the barons of PREUILLY, first barons de Touraine (some vestiges of the castle of the barons of
PREUILLY still remain on the heights which dominate the small town of this name. This castle of PREUILLY, enormous and that one said impregnable, in spite of was very taken by the English during the One hundred Year old war and destroyed. There east remained only ruins and a new castle was built on its site at the end of the 19th century).

A little later, Isabelle of PREUILLY brought in dowry the castle of Boussay to the knight PEAN, wire of Barthémély PEAN, one of the knights bannerets created in 1213 per Philippe-Auguste for Touraine.

Salut Philippe,
une très bonne note pour accompagner cette jolie photo, malheureusement l'horizon n'est pas droit (1.5° environ) et gêne un peu cette belle composition avec ce chemin qui nous emmène bien sur ce beau chateau.

Un joli chateau avec une belle lumiere pour le mettre en valeur sur ce beau fond nuageux et une bonne perspective en suivant l'allee jusqu'a lui. J'ai fait un petit WS.

Hi Philippe
the perspective path takes us straight along to this sun enlightened castle with great color contrast to the green. Still got a feel of slight tilt but hard to say with the undulation of the grounds here. I see there were already some helping hands and rectifying not so evident ... :))(Jan most close)

one of the most atractive architecture examples you have found;
and a very nice composition;
but, my dear philippe, there is a slight tilt which makes this a bit unstable, bit pitty as the building has survived so many centuries, and only now you make it fall down :-))

Bonjour Philippe! A lovely shot of a marvellous building. The view down the path is very effective and the light and shade and colour are delightful. But there IS a tilt! I think Jan's workshop has got it right for you.

La luminosité est parfaite par cet éclairage latéral.
Cependant le WS effectué par Philippe a une forte dominante jaune.

Salut Philippe. A beautiful light and a good perspective provided by the path leading to the old castle. The details and natural colors are very good, and sharpness is pronounced but adequate. As mentioned by some of the others, a slight rotation to the right would be beneficial. Interesting notes, too.

Bonjour Philippe,
What a nice castle that you present us in here, from a very pleasant perspective. I love the cilindric volume in the midle and the way this road leads directly to it. The left side seems more old and attract me more. The lighting is beautiful and that cloudy sky enhances the image. I see so many members try to make the image better, with ws proposals. It's interesting the enthusiasm and the sharing, but the minor details pointed out, are not so important for me.

I can see three members have making a WS, these of Jean Yves is absolutely the best of the three, indeed a little bit tilt and everyone have seen! A perfectly perspective, you chose the middle of the way, maybe not in accordance with the books but I like the picture, again one of the a lot castles out of France.

Bonjour mon ami Philippe,
Composition jolie de ce château entouré de végétation et avec un ciel fantastique.
J'aime beaucoup comment tu as rendu le cadrage un peu décentré et avec le chemin en signalant directement vers la tour centrale, avec une perspective parfaite accentuée par les pierres du bord du chemin.
L'illumination et les couleurs ont été excellentes.
Très jolie photo.

yes I like the photo Philippe,
the horizon is not right but you know that now. I like the point of view, the perspective is fine and I like the light to. Off coarse by a shot like this I preferere the carper format but even that i like the good job here.

Philippe, your pictures are rich of arquitecture but this one has the best entrance. I like the saturated grass and the arquitecture that has this castle.

Je vois que tu as profité du long week-end pour aller te balader un peu. Hormis le léger tilt, la compo est très bonne avec ce chemin qui nous amène jusqu'au château. J'aime assez la proposition de recadrage de JY qui fait partir la ligne dans l'angle de l'image. Le ciel gris crée une ambiance un peu inquiétante qui s'oopose à la belle lumière qui éclaire la façade.

I like this castle, well presented with the road leading up to the entrance. The little offcentered placement is ok - but there seems to be a little tilt to the left - or maybe just optical illusion.
Anyway, interesting place in a fine capture.

Le défaut principal de cette photo a été corrigé en WS et dit à maintes reprise... Je m'abstient donc de répéter sinon, que la composition est tout de même très bien faite et l'exposition parfaitment maitrisée. Bravo!

Par contre, la lumière est sympa, la perspective nous amène tranquillement vers le chateau et les petits rayons de soleil sur la tour centrale créent un petit plus très utile et original même.

Une magnifique composition qui attire immanquablement l'oeil. J'étais un peu étonné d'apprendre que la construction de l'édifice datait du 11e siècle tant il ne reste pas grand chose du batiment original. J'ai été rassuré en lisant la suite de votre note ;o) !

Magnifique, cette lumière sur le chateau... Je râle contre ce temps couvert qui persiste, mais je dois reconnaitre que jamais la lumière n'est plus belle qu'entre deux nuages (quand elle arrive à percer ! ;-)

The perspective path leads us straight to the sun lit castle. The color contrast with the green is excellent. Maybe a hint of a tilt, but I see some WSs already. The offcentre composition & the lead in blocks along the path makes this beautiful

Philippe, personnellement mes goûts vont plutôt vers les photos de gens (ta pétanque en 1ère page me plaît beaucoup), mais après avoir exploré d'autres pages de ta gallerie où il y a beaucoup de photos qui me plaisent, même si ce sont des vues de monuments, je me suis dit "après tout, pourquoi pas la vie de château ?" : celui-ci me plaît particulièrement, avec son aspect a-typique et pas trop parfait, ses murs pas trop ravalés et la pelouse qui a besoin d'être tondue - j'y ferais volontiers un petit séjour ! Mais la grille est fermée...
