Photographer’s Note

I wish to introduce two uncommon birds tonight. The first one is called blue throat (Luscinia svecica , or Gorge bleue for french speakers) and the second one is the bird watcher, presently focussed on equipping all teh birds that were caught with a ring, in order to follow their migrations worldwide.

Being a birdwatcher myself, I had the opportunity to spend one day with a french team of birdwatchers while they were proceeding. The act of ringing and checking does not hurt the birds, it was shown that anyway they would come back the year after at the same place in order to redo the nest. All these birdwatchers are anyway very careful with these small and fragile animals, especially with their feathers, while holding them.
