Photographer’s Note

Bief de partage sur le canal de Briare. Le point culminant du canal. Derrière nous la vallée de la Trézée tributaire de la Loire, devant nous la vallée du Loing tributaire de la Seine. Sur la droite les étangs qui alimentent le canal.
PP dans Adobe Photoshop CS2
Sélectionné le ciel dans quick mask et apppliqué 'levels' pour donner plus de détail dans le ciel.
Inversé la sélection pour éliminer la dominante bleue dans l'eau du canal.
Désaturé le bord du canal.
Appliqué USM

Hi John,
very beautiful taken with great light and colors.
The sky with its gentle disguise and those smaller clouds looks very pleasant.

Tès belle image, intéressante en 2 parite, bien vu. La nte est trsè explciative et très intéressante. J'aime bien cette courbe qui partage le canle, beau cadrage.

Dag John,

Ik vermoed wanneer men vaart, soms zichten tegenkomt dat de gewone sterveling nooit tezien krijgt, ook het tegenovergestelde kan waarzijn, want over oevers kan men niet altijd kijken.
De damwand met zijn speciaal kleur is zeer goed genomen, zeker naar de bocht toe dit creëer een ongelooflijke diepte en perspectief.
Eenvoudig maar met kwaliteit. Bedankt!

Joli travail de PP , le ciel est bien réussi et l'angle de prise de vue judicieux car il donne de l'ampleur à un endroit par définition sans relief !

Ein interessanter Ort - und ein landschaftlich wunderschöner. Der geschwungene Fahrweg quer durchs Bild wirkt irgendwie elegant und bringt eine gute Tiefe. Der Himmel über dem Ganzen ist herrlich - ein schönes Foto!

Hi John,
You caught some fine light here in this bucolic view of the river. I love the sweeping arc of the causeway, with a track visible in the distance. The textured, romantic sky really makes the shot sizzle, and its wide expanse creates high impact for the photo as a whole. Very fine work...Demain.

Very nice shot of this beautiful landscape, which is so typical for western and central Europe. Nearby Hamburg we have some similar sights. I like the expressive colours of the copious greenery and the sky.

The sky is glorious John and you composed the image well using the narrow path to lead the eye into the scene. Good light and sharpness.
