Photographer’s Note

Flavigny-sur-Ozerain is a charming medieval village not far from Dijon. We went to this village while visiting Paris. We were inspired after watching the movie Chocolat with its stunning cinematography and story - we had to go.
The village is high on a hill (one of the roads leading to the village is the opening scene in the movie). Upon entering, the village is so quiet, all you hear are the birds chirping. Maybe an occassional footstep of a woman walking to the next door neighbor wearing an apron, as if in the middle of preparing lunch or cooking dinner.
The village also owes its fame to its production of sweets called 'anis de Flavigny' (aniseed balls) which we brought back to the States and still enjoy the little tin boxes they came in. It is definitely worth a visit for those who enjoy scerene, charming countryside in old villages.

I used a Tamron lens 28-300 that broke thank goodness toward the end of the trip, not earlier. My camera at the time was a Canon Rebel 2000.
I tried to balance the colors so one side equals the other but couldn't figure out how to do it.. so any notes and tips would be great!! Feel free to do a workshop.
Thanks for checking in.
